Shipping & Delivery

 

Dirt Cheap CD's now uses Australia Post's eParcel service for all orders within Australia. Recipient Signatures are required to complete delivery. If a signature can not be obtained at the time of delivery, a card will be left specifying the Local Post Office at which your order can be retrieved. Orders can NOT be left at street addresses without a signature. Cards will always be left in for orders using a PO Box as a delivery address. Status of eParcel items can be tracked using your consignment number (provided once orders have been despatched), via www.eparcel.com.au - for more information, go to the help section item "How to track your order". Deliveries within Australia (excluding Norfolk Islands) generally takes between 2 - 10 days to arrive at a customer's address. Under normal circumstances, deliveries usually arrive within one week.

When the total value of any order is greater than $40, the website will display another shipping option: Free Shipping. When you select free shipping, the postage charge for the order is removed. All free shipping orders are despatched using eParcel. Please refer to Shipping & Delivery above for more details.

 

Privacy & Security
Privacy: The Dirt Cheap CD's Privacy Policy sets out the approach in which Dirt Cheap CD's takes in relation to the treatment of Personal Information. Dirt Cheap CD's respect your privacy & are committed to protect your privacy. In accordance to this we will not distribute, sell, rent, copy any of your personal information. All information is stored in a secure manner by our server. Any information Dirt Cheap CD's collected from you will only be used within Dirt Cheap CD's online site to improve & enhance our service to you. This may include suggested purchases, special offers, deals, important changes etc if you have elected to receive such information.
Security: Whilst all precautions are being made at all times, Dirt Cheap CD's shall not be responsible or liable for any loss of privacy, information, harm damage or loss that may result from your transmission of information to our web-site. We use a 'cookie' to track the use of your shopping basket during your visit - this is for your convenience as it allows you to return to our site to continue shopping at a later date. If you have cookies disabled or your security settings on 'high', it's possible that you will experience problems with our site. To change cookie settings using Internet Explorer, go to "Tools" and "Internet Options" and click on the Privacy Tab All sensitive information requested by us, such as addresses and credit card details, are protected by a secure server - such information cannot be intercepted by a third party.
Returns & Replacements
We don't offer exchanges or refunds for “change-of-mind” situations - only if a product is deemed “faulty”.
Lost & Damaged Items
Lost Items: Depending on the location of delivery, items can take between 3 and 10 working days from the date of despatch to deliver within Australia. Items can be tracked using Australia Post's E-Parcel website (http://www.eparcel.com.au). Please see "How to Track Your Order" in the help section for more detail on this. If an item cannot be tracked correctly after 10 working days, an investigation must be lodged with Australia Post - please contact us and we will lodge this on your behalf. After this investigation is complete, we can then identify if the parcel is still in transit, or if it has gone missing. In the event that is has gone missing, we will post out replacement discs to you as soon as possible. If replacement discs are unavailable or out of stock, we are happy to offer an exchange or a refund.
Damaged Items: If, for any reason, some of our stock reaches customers in an unacceptable state, items will need to be returned to our warehouse at the customer's expense for testing. A replacement, or refund, will be issued at our discretion. Postage costs will be re-imbursed by Dirt Cheap CDs in the case of a faulty product. Damaged goods include CD's or DVD's that are scratched or skipping - however, discs that are incompatible with certain computer configurations, car stereos or DVD players are not considered faulty and are ineligible for a refund. An exchange may be offered at our discretion. Cracked cases can sometimes occur - unfortunately we can’t take responsibility for small damages that happen to CD cases in transit, but depending on the extent of the damage, we may consider it a fault and treat it as such.
Ordering
All items displayed on the website are currently in-stock. We don't back-order from suppliers, so whatever you order will be shipped out at the first available opportunity. All customers must register with our Website before checking-out. Our Website shopping-cart uses Javascript to perform many actions. If you experience problems checking-out, ensure your browser has Javascript enabled.
Payment, Pricing & Promotions
The Dirt Cheap CD's Website currently offers 3 methods of payment; PayPal, Credit-Card and Direct Bank Deposit. Visa and Mastercard are accepted at the checkout process; however you can use other credit cards if you elect to check-out via PayPal.
*Please note that due to recent increases in the fraudulent use of credit-cards online, we are now only accepting Credit Cards issued in Australia. 
All prices at Dirt Cheap CDs online are in Australian dollars and apply to on-line purchases only - they will not be matched at any 'Dirt Cheap CD's' Retail location. Please note that each store operates as a separate entity and therefore has it's own stock with differing prices. Prices at any one location will not be matched by other stores.
My Account & Viewing Orders

Upon registering with the Dirt Cheap CD's Website, you will be sent an account confirmation email with logon details to access your account. Click on the confirmation link in the email and you're away...

DVD Region Codes

Our DVD's are Region 4 - this is the current standard for Australia, New Zealand, Central America, Oceania, South America and Mexico. Some DVDs are encoded for Region 0 or "All Regions" - these DVD's are compatible with all DVD players. Most DVD's are in PAL format unless otherwise indicated. In most cases, we include a scan of the back cover of the DVD in the item description - this usually includes information on region and format. Please check this before purchase, and ensure that it will be compatible with your system.
* Please note that refunds and exchanges are not available in the case of incompatibility.
